User, 2026-10-19: the three-finger tap for scrolling was hard to trigger, though the drawn hand showed it. Two causes in the log: - The thumb meets the index a tracker frame or two (55 ms each) before the middle, and a ray pinch's press went out at once, so the middle joined too late: 4 of 10 tries clicked and dragged the screen. Now, with the middle tip already within 5 cm of the thumb, the press waits up to POINTER_RAY_THREE_WAIT (110 ms) for it. The aim is locked, so the click lands where it pointed; a pinch with the middle away clicks at once. - ft-hands ends its index pinch as the thumb rolls onto the middle tip, and calls that a middle pinch only with the thumb 1 cm nearer the middle, so scrolls ended after 0.1 s. A three-finger pinch (ray or gaze) now goes on while the thumb is still on either finger, and ends once it has left both. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
