Typing with a controller. The D-pad moves Steam's virtual focus over the keys. Holding A on a letter opens the accent bubble; the focused accent is lit from within (+ white .28, a light in its upper third, a brighter top highlight).

Glyph badges in gamepad mode only. Steam's own key glyphs, restyled: X deletes, Y types a space, LT shifts, RT sends. With the laser they are hidden (PLAN §1.4, VP P-26). Enter reads Send in chat.

The echo names the field. “Message to …” is the social-media concept's context string, drawn from Steam's localization (PLAN §1.15). The pressed key is white with a dark label; keys never scale.
