Glyphs. Brightness: the sun is inert (pointer-events: none), so the low-value knob is dragged over it. Volume and Microphone, when Steam renders its clickable mute icon: a separate 54 px glyph zone before the track, never under the knob. Sound on: the glyph sits dark inside the white fill (P-69). Muted: the zone is the toggle's white with the slashed glyph and the level dims. At level 0 the white disappears entirely. Environment Brightness keeps Steam's default-value marker (▾).
