vr_weaponAdjust and vr_offHandAdjust both defaulted to a zero roll, and the 180 that makes the hands come out the right way up existed only in misc/android/autoexec.cfg. That file is deliberately not packaged into the APK - it lives next to the game data, so that the config survives reinstalling the build - which means anyone installing the APK on its own got upside-down hands and no way to guess why. Both defaults are now 180, which is the value measured on device rather than a guess. The config still sets them, so it stays the place to tune them from; it is no longer the only place the right answer exists. The comment explains why the number is not arbitrary: anchoring forces the bone to take the controller's orientation, and a wrist bone's local axes do not run the way a controller is held, so the mesh inherits that mismatch as a constant half turn about the aim axis. The two hands are mirrored and were still measured to need the same 180, which is why they remain two cvars. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
