PR 343's Filmer becomes a Luau plugin mod (kept in contrib/plugins/filmer) on general APIs instead of
its own C++:
- reskate.skater.carry: something held out in one or both hands and aimed, the body crouched (feet
kept) and hunched over it, turned on the spot after it (Extension/Skater/carry.cpp, from the PR's
filmer_hold.cpp, with tests)
- shown = "everyone" | "others" | "me" on skater.pose, reach and carry: the pose sent to the other
players and the one drawn here are split when asked
- reskate.camera.cycle and the camera_cycle event: a plugin's camera as the last step of the camera
height button's cycle, after first person
- reskate.session.nametags(false) holds the names over the other players off
- board.hide(bone, {others = true}) hides it in the board the others are sent too (a sent-pose filter)
- outfit.set takes hand wear slots; input.bind takes an action with no key of its own
Resolved where main's trainer meets the plugin branch:
- Board Break, the drone, Road Rash, Hall of Meat and Grind Exits are plugins here, so their
built-in code stays deleted: the trainer no longer hands Board Break's wear values back (the
plugin does not tune physics), its QUICK SETTINGS list no longer names Grind Exits or Board
Break, and the drone's debug action and menu are not brought back.
- The trainer's pump power, gravity, revert boost and transition help run beside the plugins'
pushes and velocities on each physics step; both sides' new declarations are kept.
- The game's own pad reads go through game_pad_read (the gamepad filter, Dark Pop's D-pad hiding,
the grind sticks) and then the plugin branch's menu and hidden-button handling.
- The trainer's forced grind settings are noted as the stance like any other value.
Hall of Meat (contrib/plugins/hall-of-meat) and grind exit triggers
(contrib/plugins/grind-exits) are Lua plugins: the bail model, its Meat card,
each map's best, the trigger rules, settings, console commands and menu panels
are theirs, with their own checks that dingosdk_plugin_tests runs.
What has to run in the game stays in core as plugin services:
- every physics step of the skater (skater_physics, the physics_step event,
permission events.physics);
- the skater's x-ray (xray, xray_render, xray_skeleton; reskate.skater.xray and
the draw handler's d:skeleton);
- skate.'s bottom left HUD corner (hud_corner; reskate.hud.corner);
- the game's slow motion, never in a session (game_speed; reskate.time.slow and
speed, permission game.speed);
- the side of the next pop out of a grind and pad controls kept from the game
(grind_exit; reskate.skater.grind_exit, the grind_exit event, reskate.input.hide);
- skate.'s own pictures by name (game_images; d:game_image), d:gradient and a
font for drawn text.
Removed: Extension/HallOfMeat, grind_exit_control and its commands, the HALL OF
MEAT and GRIND EXITS add-on pages, home tile, hub and native menu rows, their
menu models, and the hallofmeat and grindexit built-in commands.
The forward, up and off-board up boost speeds defaulted to +20, which counted as not
stock. They now default to 0: the boost adds nothing until a speed is set, and resets
(RESET EVERYTHING, the console resets, restore_debug) put them back to 0.

Forward, up and off-board up boosts take a typed value up to 10000 (sliders still end
at 300 / 25), Revert Boost strength up to x100. Noclip, No Bail, Dark Pop, a boost
that is not +20, Revert Boost, grind exit triggers and Board Break are listed at the
top of QUICK SETTINGS with their values (Go to, Reset), make the SANDBOX line say
MODIFIED, and RESET EVERYTHING turns them back.

With the game's Camera height control on (Gameplay > Advanced Camera),
R3 on the board switches between the high and the low camera by writing
the opposite of the UseHighCam option. A new switch in SKATER > CAMERA >
FIRST PERSON, "First person in the camera cycle" (off by default), makes
it high -> low -> first person -> high.
- The existing native option hook passes UseHighCam writes to a
listener, so the settings code does not depend on the skater code
- Low -> first person keeps the low camera and turns first person on;
first person -> high turns it off and keeps the high camera
- First person is switched through the menu toggle's own action on the
next client tick, so the player's first-person settings apply as
they are; it only starts on the board, outside Freecam, Noclip and
the Park Editor
- Saved as FirstPerson.CameraCycle; Reset arm settings keeps it
- Add a ctest (first_person_cycle) for the cycle's steps

As in skate. 3: when the local skater bails, the bones it hurt show over
the world through the body, yellow where a hit bruised one and red where
one broke it, with the bail's Meat card in the bottom left corner in the
place of skate.'s own HUD there: its time, hits (head hits double,
vehicles half again), broken bones, road rash, airtime, fall, top speed
and rotations, each scoring, and the map's best. A bone breaking pulses
the screen's edges red and, in single player, slows the game down a
moment. Off until switched on, as in skate.: in skate.'s menu (Custom
Stuff > Player) or with `hallofmeat 0|1`, saved with the profile.
Everything it draws is skate.'s own, read from the installed game: its
skeleton mesh (the Dem Bones costume) posed with the renderer's own
skinning matrices, its scoring icons, the THRASHER wordmark and its UI
brush strokes. Nothing is shipped.
How it works: No Bail already hooks the skeleton response, which runs
once a physics step right after the body contacts; it now hands that step
on, with the local skater it follows, but only while Hall of Meat is on.
Each step reads what every ragdoll body hit and how hard, and whether the
skater is a ragdoll; the bail runs on the game's own clock so slow motion
measures what the body did. The feature's own hooks, on the renderer's
skinned draw packets and main view and on the UI model's write, are
prepared at startup and switched on only with the feature, and off again
once the HUD corner and the game's speed are given back: switched off, the
game never calls them and the physics step pays nothing. The skeleton mesh
is read the first time it is on; only the images are read at startup,
since the overlay builds its atlas once. The renderer's picture of the
skater is read only while a bail shows. The menu's switch reads the
overlay model like the others. Every address is in the build table with a
fingerprint checked before use. Extension/HallOfMeat/README.md describes
the parts; its tests build with DINGOSDK_BUILD_HALL_OF_MEAT_TESTS.
The slow motion changes SimulationTime's rate, frame cap and time scale as
a session override and steps the local skater along, since skate. sets a
skater's step only when it builds its core. It runs the same at every
break, but never faster than the game ran: with the trainer's game speed
below 1 it only takes the part that is slower still. Afterwards it writes
back what it found, each setting only while it still holds what the slow
motion wrote, so the trainer's speed comes back as it was; a setting
changed from elsewhere meanwhile is left as it is and ends that slow
motion. named_setting_value reads a setting's value for it.
Tuned in play: a bruise from 7 m/s and a break from 12 m/s along the
contact normal (raised twice: a hard fall on flat ground broke bones), a
break worth ten of the lightest hits (a heavy bail's hits and breaks
outweighed the rest of the card) and a fall half of skate. 3's rate.
Fix: the overlay now draws in the back buffer's pixels, not the window's,
so it lines up on displays Windows scales (1920x1080 borderless on 4K).
The skater's render hooks, its skeleton and its body maps were first
found by gBGYo's ReSkate fork (github.com/gBGYo/ReSkate).

First person copied the head bone's full rotation into the camera, so every
nod, tilt and wobble of the skater's animation shook the view.
True first person (on by default) splits the head into heading, nod and tilt.
The heading is followed in full; a share of the nod (86%) and of the tilt (0%,
a level horizon) is kept. All three pass a One Euro filter: heavy smoothing
while the head barely moves, little lag in spins (a 720 stays within about
10 degrees). The eye's movement around the body is filtered the same way, and
Head bob sets how much of it is kept. Upside down (flips, bails) the view
blends back to the real head unless Follow flips is off. It runs before the
existing spring arm, which is unchanged; switching it off gives the plain
head camera back exactly.
Third person on foot (off by default) hands the camera back to the game while
the physics state is Offboard (504) and takes it again on the board, through
the same actions as the menu toggle. It only runs while first person is on or
paused by it, and the player's own toggle, Freecam or the Park Editor end it.
New settings are saved with the other FirstPerson.* choices.
Engine/Game/Skater/Test/first_person_stabilize_tests.cpp covers the math.
