LiquidAss v0.2.5 Stable
released this
2026-10-10 23:01:04 +02:00 | 0 commits to main since this releaseAdds AssPod to + › Launch Program: open the assPod from the + menu, whether the LiquidAss theme is on or off.
- The entry: the installer adds it once VLC is installed (already there, or when you say yes to VLC during install). Without VLC it's left out, and uninstall removes it.
- With the theme on, it does the same as the music note on the dashboard bar.
- With the theme off, Steam's UI stays stock. Only the assPod and its player run. They stop by themselves about 30 seconds after you put the assPod away with nothing playing, and turning the theme on takes over from them.
- README: the title now names both halves: Liquid Glass Theme and Virtual Music Player for Steam Frame.

LiquidAss v0.2.4 Stable
released this
2026-10-10 23:01:05 +02:00 | 3 commits to main since this releaseAdds the assPod nano: a 2nd-generation nano body for the assPod, beside the original.
- assPod Model on the pod's main menu switches between Video Gen 1 and Nano Gen 2. Color lists the current model's finishes: Black and White for the Video; Silver, Green, Blue, Pink, Black and (PRODUCT)RED for the nano.
- The nano: anodized aluminum with a fine grain and a laser-etched back, white end caps, and a click wheel that rocks and presses. It's rendered with real shaders like the Video.
- Its screen: the same menus, laid out for the nano's smaller screen with larger text (six rows, like the real one). The nano plays music only; videos stay on the Video.
- Your choice is kept: the model and colours you pick are saved (
~/.config/glass-shell/asspod.json) and come back every time you open the assPod, across LiquidAss and SteamVR restarts. Uninstall removes the file. - Fixes:
- A faint hairline rectangle around the pod is gone.
- The left stick now behaves exactly like the right. Tilting it down or left no longer presses the centre button or Menu. (The left controller's face buttons no longer act as centre and Menu; the right controller's A and B still do.)

LiquidAss v0.2.3 Stable
released this
2026-10-10 23:01:07 +02:00 | 5 commits to main since this releaseAdds the assPod: a music and video player that appears in your hand.
- Press the music note button on the dashboard bar, just left of the paintbrush, and the assPod appears in the hand you pressed it with.
- VLC plays your music and videos (your Music and Videos folders plus VLC's Media Library) and keeps playing in the background when the pod is put away.
- Controls: both sticks turn the click wheel; A and stick clicks press the centre; B is Menu; the ≡ button puts the pod away. The rest of the UI fades out while the pod is open.
- 3D body: a real-time 3D body with proper shaders, in black or white (Color on the main menu). Reposition lets you place it where you like in your hand.
- Video: videos play on the pod's screen at 24 fps, with scrubbing (Select, then turn the wheel). Each video remembers where you left off.
- Installer: the installer offers to install VLC if it is missing, and puts the pod's 3D renderer (
podd, built for the Frame) in place.

LiquidAss v0.2.1 Stable
released this
2026-10-10 23:01:09 +02:00 | 12 commits to main since this releaseFix: installing or updating while LiquidAss was on could leave the glass transparent (CSS only). The installer now turns a running LiquidAss off for the update and back on afterwards, and the daemon turns native glass back on whenever glassd is in place again.
